Teaching

I had worked with children but never in a classroom before, I did not have children of my own but my students were close to my ♥. I loved teaching the nervous and eager grade 9s, the young and wanting to be current and confident grade 10s, the capable, still a bit nervous grade 11s, the confident but even more nervous about after high school grade 12s.
Teaching grade 1, 2, 3,4, 5...is brand new to me and teaching them all in French is as well.
These are children I have held, seen baptised, watched them toddle and then run around at church or in our home. I had never stood in front of them and spoken another language and smiling at their many efforts, watching their focused eyes grasp and comprehend, answer me...
I remember reading the book "Moulder of Dreams" years ago and only 'kind' of got it with teenagers...with children...and having 4 of my own...I get it! The student who does not want to sit still or quietly listen while you teach, the student who wants to answer all of the questions, the student who hopes not to be asked...they all have dreams...and so do I.
