Here ends our first week in our new house and it already feels like home. My boys are fighting and playing, playing and fighting, they love to drop stuff everywhere since they are so quick to move on to the next thing that they want to do it quickly , are
always hungry, love to run everywhere, are bombing around the yard (now no worries of cars just maybe the odd rock) and I am most-of-the time happily trying to decide where to put all our stuff as my dear husband spent ALL week trying to wrap up all the legal side of a move (so glad THAT is finally over). Today we finally got to go see some of the great places that aren't too far to get to...the Kanata vacuum store, Fabricland, Lowe's (stayed for over an hour but didn't buy anything, just did lots of dreaming), a quick stop at Home Sense, Bouclair and Rona and then back home (the holiday fun stuff will have to wait). Lots of plans and dreams for this place. We are very excited and have signed up for all the home-related contests!! Not true. We are not breaking the bank but we don't want to go cheap so we are planning carefully and keeping things simple but nice.
I still have at least 25 boxes to empty but they are happily away in the school room-study and won't be needed for at least another month or so, I think...
I am also rediscovering the joy of washing dishes by hand. With the lovely view and the odd deer it's almost a treat. Lots of late nights and lots of crazy moments but it's been a week filled with so many blessings. It's truly a place we love already and know that we will love to have people over for long or short visits (even just drop by for a quick visit or a hello). It's a labour of love and truly a gift from our Lord.
Glad everything has worked out! Thinking of you and we'll have to come by soon!
