Sweet moments that make it all worth it.

Today was one of those days where the school work got done with Mama not "doing cartwheels or pulling out her hair" (that's how I feel when I am trying to get one of my boys to listen to me and not daydream about something else and then when I am done talking, ask him if he understands and he says yes but has no idea what I said or looks at me and say- 'Not doing this stuff, it's stupid'!) more than once. :-) There I said it.  No, I am NOT a supermom and I am not always this ever-patient teacher and mother.
This afternoon was one of those afternoons where I looked at my 4 boys and just LOVED them and LOVED being their mom.  My 2nd son offered to do the lunch dishes all by himself.  What a sweetie.  My youngest two wanted to help as well.  I loved reading to two of my sons who curled up and put their heads on my shoulder while I read to them.  Loved just having a nice mother-son chat with my oldest and I LOVED that all of my boys took turns dancing a waltz with me (The Nutcracker cd).  I told them that on their wedding day I'd love to dance with them and their father could dance with their new wife.  They thought that was pretty neat...even my little 4 1/2 year old who has already said he won't get married since he wants to be a soldier when he grows up.

I was glad I caught those moments and held on to them today and in the future.
