Shoko Mook

This morning at 8:30 a.m. I was rushing to write a weekend grocery list so that I could quickly get some groceries (to feed us until Monday or Tuesday) with the 4 boys before then making it to the library for the 10 a.m. Story Hour. My 2 year old was standing beside me as I was thinking of what we should have for dinner. I turned to him and asked him what he would like to eat for dinner? He answered very excitedly, "Shoko mook shake Mama!" Translation required? I had to convince him that that might not work out but that we could maybe get some "chocolate milk". None of the boys were dressed yet, having all "slept in" until 8 a.m. but they were done eating their breakfast. So we all rushed to get dressed, get our things together and all 40 library books we wanted to return plus the overdue books and DVDs we HAD to return and made it out the door, to the grocery store (the actual shopping is a whole other story), groceries bought, children and an already somewhat exhausted mother back in the car and off to the library arriving 15 minutes early for the Story Hour (Sigh of relief). So we emptied all of our books into the return chute and then went to hear a story about giraffes (while I ran after T & J). The children then "made" (actually all the moms did but that the children get the credit for doing it) a cute giraffe craft. :-) I used to be 'proud' of the fact that I never had library fines... Since I've had children I get told I have library fines for some books I didn't even read and have lost track of when they were due. Yes, even organised people lose track of library book return dates, especially keeping track of at least 3 library cards. But I'm happy! I made an awesome carrot cake today and it tastes great! I usually make it for birthdays but none of the boys have a birthday until January and I can't wait that long!
