He has joined the club!

Coming from a long line of smart-four-eyed relatives, I knew one or 4 of my boys would need glasses. So far the oldest two don`t but my sweet 6 year old has a lazy eye. He gets to wear a patch over his eye for 30min building up to 2 hours a day. Glasses fashion has come a long way in 30 years when I got glasses. Strangely enough my glasses were brown and the ones we picked for Thomas are too. He looks good and ready for grade 1.

  1. Be persistent with the patching. Growing up with a lazy eye, my mom said I fought a lot. Back in my day, they did surgery (I had two) to tighten the muscle. Nice to have only the patching (as surgery now is the last option). Hope this works for him.

  2. Thanks Christina. He has several people around him said they had to do that too when they were little. He cries everytime but he only has to wear it up to an 1hr for now but finds it frustrating. It is really helping though already.
