NATURE walk

So, it was Monday afternoon and we decided to take our boys for a walk on the new bike path that was recently completed. The sky was looking pretty grey but we thought we'd give it a shot anyway. 10 minutes after we started we found this snake...never seen one that big before beside a bike path..not sure what kind it was either. It looked very comfortable with its surroundings. :-) Anyway, we kept the boys back since it had one of those heads...and it started to rain...buckets! We quickly huddled under some branches in the forest beside the path and waited out the flash storm. All was going well till we started heading home and WHAM! after-the-storm crazed mosquitoes hit us. The mosquitoes were having a hayday with us. We were wet, sweaty and now very irritated and itchy. We trecked back to our van trying to keep happy by singing some camp style songs and our youngest wailing...I am not moving unless you carry me...as he followed us along the path. He was tired and miserable and didn't want to move. Edward toko pity on his own ears and got tired of listening to the wailing and scooped up our youngest and we all made it back to our van very tired but still glad we'd gone for an hour long walk all together.
