So I came across this book at a homeschooling conference in April. I had never wanted to read anything by this lady since I thought she looked like the perfect homeschooling mother of 8 who had it all together. Little did I know that I had judged the book (and author) by the cover. I didn't even start reading the book till I felt like I was going to put my children on the first school bus that went by or have them registered at the first school that would take them. I thought: "I quit, this is too tough, I cannot do this anymore, what was I thinking!" Yes, in my own strength it is and always will be. The problem was not with my children but with me and my heart and selfishness....And so I keep reading the book with only 2-3 weeks of school to finish for this year and every moment when I fail I remember the words of this book and author and know that she's been there, done it but only by God' grace in her life and in the hearts of her children and their home. I recommend this book to any homeschooling mom...and if your name is D.T. or J. V. I would love to get you a copy from one homeschooling sister to another. God bless you every step of this journey. It is a beautiful journey with many potholes and thorns along the way but in the end is for God's glory if we give our homes and our days to Him alone.
