The Christmas County Spelling Bee

Since September I have been driving my 4 boys to the Parkdale Baptist church in Ottawa every Wednesday night for their 1 1/2 hr choir/musical practices.  Last Saturday was the show/pageant.  My oldest had one of the main roles and played the role of Ferris Wheeler (pronounced Whyler) and Joseph.  He did very well for his first play/production.  Mathias was in the choir and frowned a lot since he said later he was really scared with all the people watching.  The youngest two were supposed to be in the choir as well but weren't feeling very well so they sang from their seats.  The ladies running the whole production didn't need any unpleasant surprises during their show.  My parents drove up from Montreal for the day and a few families from our church including our pastor came to see the production. :-)
Jürgen is already looking forward to the next production with practices starting in mid-January.  The show is called G.P.S. (God's Plan of Salvation).  The show date will be determined at the first practice.  We were super proud of the oldest two.  Their first real live audience.  With being homeschooled it is great for them to have this opportunity to present/perform in front of others.  Several other homeschooled children were in the production as well.  They all had a great time and did very well.
