One of those days!!

So, I've heard before that there are those people who when things are good say nothing, when things are bad they complain.  I want to be one of those people who takes the good and the bad and is thankful and can learn to rejoice in all circumstances.

Monday was one of those days where the boys did their school work joyfully and promptly, we made it to swimming lessons and they all had a great time.  I got 45 min to mark school work and prepare for our Bible study group and chat with a few mothers.  After swimming lessons we went off to Andrew Haydon Park which is a lovely park in Ottawa by the river that has a man-made lake/pond that attracts a lot of ducks & geese.  We had a lovely surprise.  Jürgen spotted a large white heron/crane (not exactly sure) and we got a very close look at it.  It was even more special to watch it fly away with 10-12 Canada geese along.  What graceful birds.  The boys were so excited and we had the whole park pretty much to ourselves.  Dinner ended up being a large pot of apple/cinnamon oatmeal which they all love.  I got picked up for a choir practice at 7pm.
What a lovely evening.  Our congregation has a choir of 20 people (half men/ half ladies) and made up of quite a few couples since the men & ladies practice on alternating Mondays.  We are part of a larger mass choir that will come together in May 2011 in Hamilton for a 10-15 Canadian Reformed congregations concert.  We are all practicing the same music in our various cities.  We have a great bunch of ladies and we had so much fun.  The pieces are challenging but it will be beautiful with all those voices of soprano, alto, tenor and bass.  It will also be so nice to finally again be in a choir singing with my good friends and my wonderful tenor husband. So, I had a excellent day and I am so thankful for it.
