Enjoying...

I'm half-way through John Newton: From Disgrace to Amazing Grace and really enjoying it. I'm learning quite a bit about about him. I'm reading This Momentary Marriage by John Piper as well. That's even better than Love & Respect. Well actually those are the top two I'd recommend. None of that 'do this to fix things'.... 'Marriage is to be a display of God', he writes. Pretty straight forward but not so easy and impossible without Christ and his atoning grace. Now I want to read John Newton's own book An Authentic Narrative. I just need to find it now. I'd like to go back and read C.S. Lewis' Surprised by Joy. Now that was quite a book.
