Must be why...
With the amount of rain we've been getting and not really any big travel plans I find myself constantly planning for the fall. I had thought I would homeschool all summer and I am since every time there is a learning opportunity we grab it but not much sit down and serious concentrating work. It has been so rainy but still warm which means we have little energy to really concentrate. I have already ordered my English Grammar books and have been thinking about Science. I think I may want to wait until next year to order Apologia's Astronomy book & notetaking material for my oldest two to work through or at least take a peek at them at the Spring conference. We've already taken out so many books on planets & solar system etc, that I think we'll be fine for this year. We have some great resources throught the library! We bring home two large full reusable shopping bags full of books every week and I get to carry them to the van, mind you I'm usually the most excited about the books. The biggest goal this year is to help my second born learn to read and become confident with reading and have fun with all the new things we can learn through Grammar, History, Math, French,Science, Art, Music lessons & Reading! I must be a teacher...I'm spending all summer getting ready for September!

ReplyDeleteWhen are you going to Mexico? Yet this summer?
ReplyDeleteI think I'd like to start Apologia's Creation Series and do the Astromony book next fall when my oldest two are 8 1/2 and 6 1/2! Would you buy the new notebook journals you can now get? Canadian Home Education sells the new ones and Apologia material. Anyone else in Canada who has the cheapest shipping costs?
