Psalm 46

I have spent a good part of this month reading over and over again the words of Psalm 46. Two of my friends that do not live in town and not close to each other, nor know each other are each grieving the death this past week of one of their respective children. The only comfort that can be given can be found in Christ. No words anyone can say can bring full peace and comfort. We should never take our loved ones for granted and never assume that anyone will be able to have children or several children or that anyone will die before they do. The Lord gives and the Lord takes...blessed be the name of the Lord. Time to re-read Psalm 46.
