For the last 2 months the oldest two boys have been raising money for children in Africa through a program called Kits for Kids. The format used to be that each child took a shoe box and filled it with items to send to a child in Romania. It has now changed to children earning twoonies by doing chores or serving others and raising money to send to children in Kenya for school supplies, animals, grain, etc. J & M worked hard to each earn their 10 twoonies to send away. Both boys worked hard and were eager to raise the money. They did things like sort and fold laundry and put it away, organise and take out recycling, empty the dishwasher, mop bathroom floor, sweep the kitchen, grate vegetables for dinner, etc. I'm pretty proud of all their work. We had to have the money sent off by November 10th so we just finished a week ago.
It's just too bad they aren't as eager to help out now that they're no twoonies involved. Hmm... ☺
