The Great Pyramid of Cheops

This week with my boys we were studying Egyptian mummies and pyramids! We could have mummified a chicken but I decided that with us travelling in the next while it would be best not to take on such a big project. So instead we made the Great pyramid, the largest of all 35 pyramids ever made that in reality took 20 years to build, 2 million stone blocks each weighing the weight of an elephant. Wish we had more Duplo (Lego brand blocks) to make it taller and bigger!

  2. Even with the best instructions there really was NO WAY I was doing the mummified chicken. ☺
We are loving the book so far and are learning so much. Even M. is really into it! I print copies of the maps too and he follows along quite well.
