Swimming lessons again!
J & M are back at swimming lessons. I miss not having my friend N. there since that is where we first met! I miss her and wished she hadn't moved... 2hrs away. It's been hard to find a date to visit each other with children and busy schedules.
So I took my four boys to the pool after stopping by the farmers market again for more corn. Ever tried "White Cinderella" corn? It is so tasty! So we headed to the pool. We were 20 minutes early having had an early lunch so the boys played on the 3 really cool play structures they have outside the building. Went to get J & M into their swimsuits and then met their swimming instructors. J.'s teacher is a male teacher which will give him a 19 year old to hang out with and learn from for 1hr a week. There are only 3 other children in his class, 2 other boys and 1 girl. He seemed to have a lot of fun and learned a lot today! M.'s teacher is actually a daughter (the the second oldest of 6 children) of the homeschooling mom who coordinates the lessons. The boys had a great time while I kept J & T out of the water and tried to chat with a few moms I'd never met before. It was great because they were all francophone and are from the area. Most of the moms in Ottawa that homeschool only speak English. It was nice to spend an hour speaking French with other homeschooling mothers.
Saturday will be karate classes again with M. starting as well for the first time! J. is also taking art lessons on Tuesday afternoons with a young lady in our church who lives around the corner from our place with her husband. Piano lessons are not planned for a couple more years when the budget allows for an instrument and lessons. We might try J & M in soccer this summer but that's still a whole Fall, Winter and Spring away.
