A week with "only" two boys or "somwhat terrible two"

Warning: do not read this entry if you are single, dating, getting married, considering having children, want to have more children or are pregnant!

I thought that a week with only two boys would be easier. I could take naps when they napped and get to bed earlier, etc. Well.... they have sure made me forget that dream of a mini holiday. A 2 year old and a 17 month old want undivided attention from 8 am till 12:30 and then from 2:30-7:30pm non-stop! And they decided that I am supposed to keep them entertained the whole time!

It's been a week of short nights (I don't sleep well when my husband isn't home) and long days (naps got interrupted by knocks at the door, a dirty diaper, noises outside, a sudden phone call...) So, I took a picture of T. & J. so I can lovingly keep things in perspective and nobody but another mother of 2 boys 11 months apart or another mother of 4+ children will believe me when I say it's been a very busy week.

Oh, did I mention that my 2 year was toilet trained but especially for this week decided that it was time for a relapse and both of my dear boys decided that they no longer like to sit in the double stroller or a shopping cart for longer than 10 minutes... after that they start to scream!

Sigh... I love having my husband home! I so feel for those single parents who have to love & raise their children alone. 6 days too long!
